This is a delicious and simple dessert to make and serve with vanilla ice cream!

Ingredients
-
¾ cup salted butter (170g)
-
1 cup brown sugar (225g)
-
½ cup white sugar (110g)
-
2 eggs
-
1 tbsp vanilla
-
1 ½ cups Rouge de Bordeaux flour (195g)
-
1 cup old-fashioned rolled oats (115g)
-
1 tsp baking soda (6g)
-
½ tsp salt (3g)
-
1 cup chocolate chips (200g)
Directions
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and grease a 10” cast iron skillet with butter.
Optional: Brown your butter over low-medium heat in a saucepan until the solids start to brown and a fine foam starts to rise. Once the foam starts to rise, take it off the heat so you don’t burn it! If you choose not to brown your butter, just melt it.
Mix together your melted/browned butter, brown and white sugar, eggs, and vanilla. Add your flour, oats, baking soda, salt, and chocolate chips and mix until just combined.
Spread into your pan and bake for 20-30 minutes, depending on how gooey you like it. Keep in mind that it will continue to bake after it comes out of the oven. Cool 10 minutes before serving with vanilla ice cream. Enjoy!
