Product Questions

Bugs have never been a problem on our farm, and there are a couple of good reasons for that!

  • Bugs generally only affect poor quality grain. If a grain comes from an unhealthy plant or was stored improperly in a damp warm environment at any point and starts to rot, bugs are natural decomposers and come in to do damage control. Because our grain is from a healthy plant and is stored properly, it is high quality and not the bugs preferred meal.
  • We only sell what we grow. This helps us manage the quality of what we sell so we can oversee the growing and storing process.
  • Good storage techniques and environment.Montana naturally has a cold winter at freezing temps, so any bugs that might want a snack usually don't survive to see it. Good storage techniques in a cool dry environment naturally reduce the chance any bugs or eggs being in the grain.

Make sure to properly store your grains or flour in a cool, dry, and airtight place to ensure you avoid bugs as well. A food safe bucket is a great way to do that!

Any 10LB variant will come in 2 5LB bags, and any 48LB variant will come in 2 24LB bags!

We only sell what we grow on our family farm so that we know the grains are grown regeneratively and are chemical free! We put a lot of love into what we do, so we want to make sure what shows up at your door is the highest quality possible!

The flour is shipped out to the customer anywhere from a couple of days to at the latest three weeks after milling.

The flour is bagged immediately once it is milled in an airtight bag with all of the air removed! While fresh milling is always the best option, if a mill is not available to you our flour is the highest quality on the market that you can get as far as freshness and nutrient density!

Our flour is milled by our family on farm to make sure we can control quality in every step of the process!

To ensure the quality of your grains/flour, store them in an airtight container such as a food safe pail in a cool dry place.

Farming Practices

Certified Regenified is our regenerative certification. Regenerative is a broad term at this point, and is at risk of being greenwashed because there is no standard behind it. Having a certification gives some standards that we have to adhere to. Learn more about their standard, and check out the LSG page on their website! They also have a cool farm finder feature!
