From the fields of France in the 1800s to our family farm today, we are excited to grow this heirloom grain. Known for its beautiful color and nutty flavor, it is excellent for sourdough and your favorite artisan bread recipes and baked goods.  High in protein, finely ground, whole wheat flour from certified regeneratively grown hard red wheat.  The classic choice of French bakers!

One other interesting thing to note about Rouge de Bordeaux: we have found that many of our friends and family who have a gluten intolerance do not have a negative reaction to products made with Rouge de Bordeaux. Great tasting bread

I’ve made several loaves of bread, yeast bread but wanting to try to start sourdough soon, tastes great, just have to get used to being a wetter dough learning every time I use it

Love this flour

This Rouge de Bordeaux flour is finely milled and works readily in recipes with little change other than increasing the hydration by 5 or 10%. Excellent product overall.

The Best Flour Ever

As someone who struggles with gluten free that isn't pumped with everything from here to the sun, I was over the moon when I found Living Sky Grains at the Montana Trade show in helena! Fell in love with the ingredients because it literally in the grains milled and then bagged - THAT'S IT!!! Not anything additional put into the flour and my body has never felt better! And the options of sizing for bags to that can also be delivered and Montana owned just outside of three forks - hands down with support them forever! And you can also find their products at the Little Creek Feed right in townsend as well!
