Rouge de Bordeaux Berries
A beautiful heirloom grain found in the fields of France in the 1800s is now available from our family farm. The Rouge de Bordeaux berries are rich in nutty flavor and high in protein. Regeneratively grown in our Montana fields, these hard red wheat berries are healthy, delicious and ready to enjoy. They are as flavorful as they are beautiful, earning their reputation as the wheat berry of choice for bakers in southwest France.
One other interesting thing to note about Rouge de Bordeaux: we have found that many of our friends and family who have a gluten intolerance do not have a negative reaction to products made with Rouge de Bordeaux. Although we can’t guarantee that this will be the case for everyone who is gluten sensitive, we're very excited about it being a possibility for some.
