Mom always made these when we were kids for lunch boxes at harvesttime! They have a delicious oatmeal cookie base with a fudge layer in the middle!
Ingredients

1 cup butter

2 cups brown sugar

2 eggs
-
2 tsp vanilla

2 ½ cups Rouge de Bordeaux flour

1 tsp salt

1 tsp baking soda

3 cups old fashioned oats

2 cups semisweet chocolate chips

2 tbsp butter
-
½ tsp salt
-
1 can sweetened condensed milk
Cookie Base
Fudge Layer
Directions
Cream butter and sugar. Add the eggs and vanilla, then the dry ingredients and oatmeal.
Spread 2/3 of this mixture into the bottom of a greased 9x13 pan.
In a saucepan mix the chocolate chips, butter, salt, and sweetened condensed milk and melt over medium-low heat.
Pour over first crust layer and crumble the remaining mixture over it. Bake at 350 for 25-30 minutes. Cool and enjoy!
